How to Make Popeyes Strawberry Biscuits
Strawberry Biscuits Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup diced fresh strawberries
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter cubes to the dry mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients.
- Stir the mixture until it just comes together. Be careful not to overmix; the dough should be slightly sticky.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it holds together.
- Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Use a round biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each biscuit.
- Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the biscuits are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Once the biscuits are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes on a wire rack. Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.
- Allow the glaze to set, and then serve your homemade strawberry biscuits.
Remember, this recipe is an interpretation of the concept of strawberry biscuits and not an official Popeyes recipe. If Popeyes has introduced strawberry biscuits since my last update, I recommend checking their official sources for the most accurate recipe.
