How To Clean Your Blender

Cleaning your blender is an important step to maintain its hygiene and functionality. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to clean your blender effectively:

Materials You'll Need:

  1. Dish soap
  2. Warm water
  3. A soft brush or sponge
  4. Baking soda (optional)
  5. Vinegar (optional)

Steps:

  1. Unplug the Blender: Ensure the Vitamix 7500 blender is unplugged or disconnected from the power source to prevent accidents.
  2. Disassemble the Blender: Remove all removable parts of the blender. This typically includes the blender jar, lid, and the blade assembly.
  3. Rinse the Jar: Rinse out the blender jar with warm water to remove any large food particles or residue.
  4. Fill with Soapy Water: Fill the blender jar about halfway with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. If your blender has been used for processing something particularly sticky or oily, you can also add a teaspoon of baking soda or a splash of vinegar to help break down the residue.
  5. Blend the Soapy Water: Place the jar back on the blender base and blend the soapy water for about 30 seconds. This helps clean the blades and the interior of the jar.
  6. Scrub the Jar: Use a soft brush or sponge to scrub the interior of the blender jar, including the blade assembly, the bottom, and the sides. Pay extra attention to any stubborn spots or food residue.
  7. Rinse Thoroughly: Empty the soapy water and rinse the blender jar thoroughly with warm water to remove all soap residue. Make sure to rinse the blade assembly as well.
  8. Lid and Gasket: Clean the blender lid and any gaskets or seals that may be removable. These can be washed with warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
  9. Base and Buttons: Wipe down the blender base with a damp cloth or sponge. Avoid getting the base excessively wet to prevent damage to the motor and electrical components.
  10. Drying: Allow all the parts to air dry completely before reassembling your blender.
  11. Reassemble: Once everything is dry, reassemble your blender, ensuring that all parts are securely in place.
  12. Optional Deep Clean: If your blender still has stains or odors, you can create a paste of baking soda and water and apply it to the stained areas. Let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
  13. Regular Maintenance: To prevent buildup and make future cleaning easier, rinse the blender jar and blade assembly immediately after use. This helps to prevent food residues from drying and sticking.

Remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning your specific Vitamix E310 blender model, as some blenders may have specific care requirements. With regular cleaning and maintenance, your blender should stay in good working condition for a long time.
